The Los Angeles Jewish Home cares for nearly 5,000 seniors annually through an extraordinary continuum of services. More than 1,000 seniors are served in-residence each year on Jewish Home’s two village campuses. An additional 1,600 are served through the Home’s community-based programs, including Skirball Hospice, Jewish Home Center for Palliative Medicine, the Ida Kaybne Transitional Care Unit, the Brandman Centers for Senior Care, Care Transitions and More.

Since its founding in 1912, Jewish Home has grown to become the largest single-source provider of senior care in Los Angeles. Over five generations, we have evolved to meet the rising tide of need, providing comprehensive services from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing, geriatric psychiatry, Alzheimer’s care, rehabilitation, hospice, palliative care, and residential care.

Jewish Home is an integral part of the lives of Jewish seniors and their families throughout Los Angeles. By emphasizing fitness and nutrition, encouraging social, intellectual, and cultural stimulation, and redefining world-class medical care, we have set a new standard for wellness in our community and nationwide.

Our footprint is growing, but the need for our services is growing faster still, and we must continue to look ahead. To address the challenges of a diverse and expanding population, Jewish Home is entering into its second century with a far-reaching vision for the decades to come.

This vision includes revitalizing facilities at the Grancell and Eisenberg Village Campuses; constructing the new Hirsch Family Campus in the San Fernando Valley and Gonda Healthy Aging Campus on L.A.’s Westside; and improving seniors’ well-being and ability to live in their own homes through the Brandman Centers for Senior Care, a Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). This new “home without walls” approach will enable increasing numbers of seniors to live, and thrive, independently.

Our future has so much promise, and our goal is well within reach: to be serving 5,000 seniors annually within five years, transforming their health and enhancing their everyday lives.
